Hereford Baby was launched in February 2008, by Rachael Hanson a mum of two young children aged 2 and 4.  It was the first  website in Herefordshire dedicated purely to  parents, carers and families of pre-school age children.  When I was looking for nurseries, childcare and different things in the area to do with the children I realised that there was no central point to obtain all the information. 

Rachael is married to David, a farmer, and has two children, George 5, and Isobel 3.  I also work as a teaching assistant with Reception and Year 1 children.  We as a family with two young children have been through all the usual traumas and decisions that every family faces at some point!  From George at 7 weeks old holding his breath in pain with colic and then passing out to Isobel who faints with pain on a regular basis when she falls over!  Thankfully George stopped his breath holding at 6 months! Isobel is still fainting!!  Living on a farm the children are always in scrapes and knocks and spend a lot of time in casualty which I am quite sure other mums can relate too!

*** I can now tell you that Isobel has a condition called REFLEX ANOXIC SEIZURES.  There will be an article over the next few months about this condition.***
